Philanthropist Nita Ambani has become an inspiration for women all over. From managing various businesses to being a lovable mother and a grandmother, she essays her role as one of the most influential personalities flawlessly. While she has built an image for herself, not many know about the struggles she had to go through in her personal life. In an old interview, she had once opened up about how at the age of 23, her doctors had told her she could never conceive children.

The mother of three had recalled how she had always wanted to have children, however her dreams were shattered when doctors told her would never have children. Through the help of her doctor friend and IVF, not only did she get pregnant with her twins Isha and Akash, but she also gave birth to her and Mukesh Ambani's third kid Anant. Quoted by Etimes, she had said, “A few years after I got married, I was told by the doctors that I would never have children. Even when I was in school, I would write long, copious essays titled, ‘When I’ll be a mother…’ Here I was at the age of 23 being told that I would never conceive. I was shattered. She had also opened up about how the experience was a bit traumatic for her as she delivered her twins two months before their due date in a state of emergency. It was her positivity that kept her going. 

While speaking to Vogue about how her mother became a role model, Isha had heaped praises on her mother for essaying the role of a hard working woman. She recalled how once she grew up she saw how her mother balanced work and home perfectly. She further added, “Watching her play all these different roles—from full-time mom to businesswoman—I learnt how important each facet is in a woman's life and how one needs to define what “having it all” means during these different stages.”
