Tom Cruise Is Back As The Hotshot Fighter Pilot In Top Gun: Maverick. SIGH!
Tom Cruise released his “love letter to aviation” at the Comic-Con yesterday. The Hollywood heartthrob released the trailer of Top Gun 2 to oohs and aahs! In the new-generation Top Gun, Tom aka Maverick, will be seen dealing with drone technology and fifth-generation fighters.

It’s a flashback of sorts to see Cruise wearing Pete “Maverick” Mitchell’s leather jacket, waltzing in on a mean motorcycle and flying fighter jets. Tweeps are loving Mr Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick and reactions on the micro-blogging site range from “Top Gun looks fucking dope” to “so many nostalgic feels - beach volleyball, singing in a bar - but also SICK air sequences and a Maverick who doesn't want to leave the cockpit” and “I watched the Top Gun: Maverick trailer, then stood with my hand over my heart.” Get the drift?

Tom Cruise’s Top Gun released back in 1986 and smashed the box-office. Its redux is slated for a June 2020 release. Cruise’s last at the box-office was another commercially successful sequel to Mission: Impossible. He’s also attempting to remake The Mummy.
