TV Anchor Arnab Goswami Says ‘Every Case Against Me Is Fabricated, Fake’ As He Appears For Interrogation By Mumbai Police

Television anchor and Editor of the Republic Television network Arnab Goswami appeared for questioning before the Mumbai Police on Wednesday, that is, June 10, in connection with the police complaints filed against him. There are reportedly two FIR’s filed against Arnab Goswami, and he was interrogated by the Mumbai Police. However, before entering Mumbai's NM Joshi Marg police station for the interrogation, he said that every case against him is fake and has been fabricated.
According to a Zee News report, there are two FIRs filed against Arnab Goswami- one wherein he was accused of ‘making provocative comments on the Palghar lynching incident during his news show on April 29, 2020.’ Another police complaint is in connection with his alleged comments on the gathering of migrant workers in large numbers outside the Bandra railway terminus amid the lockdown. According to the report, before entering for questioning, Arnab said, “Every case against me is fabricated, it is fake.” He was reportedly interrogated by the police for about two hours, and this was his second interrogation in 40 days.
Arnab said that earlier he was interrogated for almost 12.5 hours. Speaking to the reporters outside the police station he accused Sonia Gandhi team, Vadra, and Congress of filing the cases against Republic. “We brought out the facts behind the conspiracy in Bandra case,” he said.

Zee News also quoted him saying, “This is the reward that is given in Maharashtra to bring out the truth and the facts behind a conspiracy. You’re called at a police station to explain your journalism.” Je further said the truth is on his side, and that this is political harassment.
