Popular Tamil actor 'Poo' Ram was admitted to a hospital after he suffered a heart attack
Popular Tamil actor 'Poo' Ram, on Monday, was rushed to a hospital after he suffered a heart attack. Reportedly, the actor was admitted to an Intensive Care Unit of the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital after he suffered a heart attack. The news was first shared by actor Kaali Venkat on social media where he revealed that Poo Ram was in a critical condition. The veteran Tamil actor is widely known for his outstanding performance in Sasi's film 'Poo'.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Kaali Venkat wished the actor a speedy recovery. He wrote, “Recover swiftly and return comrade!” He also revealed that Ram had suffered a heart attack and that he was in a critical condition. He also shared the details of Ram’s ward and bed numbers. Soon after this, fans of the actor left worried and started sending get-well-soon wishes to him.
For the unversed, 'Poo' Ram rose to prominence after he left everyone mighty impressed with his stint in Parvathy and Srikanth starrer 'Poo'. Notably, his terrific performance in the film became his identity as he started to known as 'Poo' Ram. The 2008 romantic drama, directed by Sasi was based on the short story, Veyilodu Poi written by Thamizh Selvan. Ram played the role of Thangaraasu (Srikanth)'s father in the same. Set in a village named Kongankulam, the film entails two different dreams of two different people for one person.
Apart from this, the actor is also known for his work in several critically acclaimed films like 'Pariyaerum Perumal', 'Karnan' and 'Soorarai Pottru'.
