Vijay Deverakonda, who is gearing up for his pan-India debut with Karan Johar’s production Liger, has opened up about love and relationships. In a recent interview, the Arjun Reddy star sort of confirmed being in a ‘long relationship’ and revealed that his approach towards love changed after he came into a relationship with a woman, whose name he did not disclose. Vijay also confessed that he was scared of ‘falling in love as he was told that ‘money is everything’

Speaking with GQ, the South Superstar also revealed that he has never said ‘I love you too’ to anybody to date. Vijay said, “I’m someone who loves being in love. I believe in love stories. They’re my happy place. But I’m also scared of heartbreak. So far, it hasn’t happened.” The 33-year-old actor further mentioned that while growing up, his father told him that love is 'bullshit and that money is everything'. And, this got ingrained in him so deeply that when she grew into an adult, he didn’t believe in relationships. 

“I began believing that whoever came to me, came with a want. When someone said they love me, I never said I love you too. Till today, it doesn’t come as naturally as it should, the Dear Comrade actor explained. Earlier, during his appearance on Karan Johar’s chat show 'Koffee With Karan 7', Vijay Deverakonda opened up about his love life. When asked why he keeps his relationship status under wraps, he asserted that the day he will marry and have kids, he will say it out loud but till then he does not want to hurt anyone who adores him.

Meanwhile, Liger has been directed by Puri Jagannadh and also stars Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishna, and Ronit Roy. The actioner is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 25 this year.
