VIRAL! Korean Influencer Kim Jaehyeon’s Rendition Of ‘Kabira’ From Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani Wins Over The Internet- WATCH
The viral video of Kim Jaehyeon crooning the lyrics of Kabira at an Indian sangeet was shared by his girlfriend Piyusha Patil on Instagram
With the rise of the audience’s love for K-pop music, K-dramas and in general Korean culture, nowadays, the internet is filled with posts from interracial Asian couples. These couples and influencers often take to their official social media handles to share their journeys of adapting each other’s cultures. Recently, one such couple Piyusha Patil and Kim Jaehyeon took to Instagram to share a glimpse of him singing Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’s famous song ‘Kabira’ at her sister’s sangeet.
Sharing the 90 seconds reel on Instagram, Piyusha wrote, “The most interesting and lovely performance from my sister’s sangeet sang to perfection! He originally sang for 3 minutes but had to cut it till 90s for a reel!” Sharing how he prepared for the special song for the hair stylist influencer revealed that he wrote down the lyrics in Korean pronunciation and then would constantly listen to the song and practice singing it every chance he got.

Well, Jaehyeon’s attempt at singing a Hindi song, when he doesn’t know any Indian languages certainly paid off as netizens couldn’t contain their excitement. Many heaped praises on influencer for trying his hand at something new. Others were shocked at his dedication. Netizens filled his comment section with purple and red hearts, clapping emojis and fire emoji.
One wrote, “This song isn't the most easy to sing, so great effort!” Another wrote, “But you tried well in front of so many people who are Indians, they would surely like your efforts. We indian people love it when somebody wanted to adapt us, as we are. Well done dear.” Other wrote, “You really sang so well....also the high notes were awesome....you really worked hard and did well too.language ain't a barrier for music.”
Talking about the movie YJHD, starring Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur, it was released in 2013. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the movie set a benchmark for people and how they should cherish their friendships, no matter where their career takes them.
