Indian cricketer Shubman Gill lately has been making headlines for his love life. He was rumoured to be dating actress Sara Ali Khan a few months ago. In the past, Shubman was also linked to Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara. Gill is now grabbing headlines for breaking the record of the cricket legend Sachin by scoring 208 runs off just 149 balls in the first ODI against New Zealand. Notably, Shubman is the youngest Indian cricketer to score a double ton in a 50-over cricket match. 

Soon after he made this record, a tweet claiming that Sachin announces his daughter’s engagement with him goes viral on social media. A Twitter user named Harsh posted a photo of the former cricketer with his daughter and wrote, “BREAKING: Sachin Tendulkar announces daughter Sara's engagement with #ShubmanGill.” The user also clarified that it was just a satire tweet. On Wednesday, Shubman Gill created history by smashing an ODI double hundred vs New Zealand in the first match of the three-game series. He made 208 runs after India won the toss and opted to bat first. India set a massive target of 350 runs on the board for the Black Caps because of Gill’s double hundred.

Meanwhile, last year Shubman dropped a hint about dating Sara Ali Khan during his appearance on Preeti and Neeti Simoes's Punjabi chat show, ‘Dil Diyan Gallan. On being asked to name the fittest actress in Bollywood, he took Sara’s name. Not just that, when the host asked him if he is dating Sara, the cricketer said, “May be.” Adding to this, Shubman Gill blushed and stated, “Sara da sara sach bol diya. Maybe, maybe not.”
