Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his versatile performances. He is often seen taking to his official social media handles to comment on the ongoing situations in the country. He has now reacted to the shocking viral Manipur violence video from May 4, where two women were stripped naked and paraded around while men surrounded them.

Taking to Twitter, Akshay commented on the horrifying video, making him one of the first actors in Bollywood to react to the Manipur violence. On Thursday, he took to the micro-blogging website and expressed his anger over the viral video. He hoped that culprits would receive harsh punishment. The actor wrote, “Shaken, disgusted to see the video of violence against women in Manipur. For the unversed, the shocking video that recently surfaced on the internet on Wednesday left everyone very comfortable. In the video, two women were shown to be stripped and paraded around naked while they are facing continuous harassment by a group of men from another community in Manipur. The state has been witnessing ethnic clashes since May 3rd between the Meiteis from the Imphal valley and the Kukis that occupy the hills.
