YouTuber Gaurav Taneja Arrested; Flying Beast Issues A Statement, Says, 'Fans Were Not Violent, We Would Pursue Appropriate Legal Remedy'
Gaurav Taneja finally breaks the silence on his and wife’s arrest and issues the statement
Gaurav Taneja and his wife Ritu Rathee are grabbing the eyeballs since their arrest. They were arrested on July 9, 2022, for planning the YouTuber’s birthday party at the metro station in Delhi as a huge crowd gathered outside the station. He was later released that evening. Taneja has now issued a statement that he will seek legal remedy for their arrest.
Gaurav Taneja and his wife were arrested under sections 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint) and 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) by the Noida police on Saturday. After the arrest, Gaurav has finally broken his silence. He and his wife have issued a statement claiming that fans who gathered didn't cause any harm and they were overwhelmed by their love and affection. The statement read, “It is pertinent to mention here that these fans were not violent nor did they raise any objectionable slogans neither harmed any public property”. Exemplary behaviour speaks volumes of the example the influencer couple has set for their fans”.
Earlier while speaking to Hindustan Times, Noida Police described the situation a stampede-like situation causing chaos. On these Gaurav and Ritu also gave a statement to HT saying, “permission had been solicited and granted for the same through the proper channels.”
Noida Police officials have said that a case has been registered against Gaurav. They said that the Smart Jodi couple was arrested for violating Section 144 of CrPC and added, “Needless to say, we would pursue an appropriate legal remedy.”
For the unversed, the couple had planned Flying Beast’s birthday party by booking a coach in Noida at sector 51 metro station. There’s a provision where Noida Metro Rail Corporation permits anyone for this kind of service but with a guest limit of 200. However, due to the couple’s party and their fan following more than required people reached the station creating a ruckus and traffic.
