Bachchans to celebrate Abhishek’s 40th b’day in Maldives
Where’s the party tomorrow? Nope, it isn’t at the Bachchan residence in Mumbai. In fact, Abhishek Bachchan’s 40th birthday on February 5 will be celebrated far away from the Bollywood crowd.

The entire Bachchan family, headed by paa Amitabh and mum Jaya, biwi Aishwarya and didi Shweta, are zipping off to the Maldives for the occasion.

It’ll be a brief stay at the scenic island, since the Bachchans have to return to their professional commitments, particularly Aishwarya who has been shooting for a non-stop schedule of Omung Kumar’s Sarbjit at the Aarey colony in Goregaon, Mumbai.


Usually, Abhishek’s birthday is brought in at Jalsa, the Bachchan bungalow in Juhu, and is attended by  a starry list, including Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan besides the regulars Karan Johar, Sikander Kher, Goldie Behl and his wife Sonali Bendre.


However, for Abhishek’s 40th, the Bachchans have evidently chosen to make it a strictly family event.
