John Abraham’s love for bikes is well-known -- the actor owns an envious collection of motorcycles and is also the brand ambassador of a bike brand. Now, for the first time, the avid biker has been roped in to become the face of an automobile brand. Interestingly, he replaces Ranbir Kapoor, who was endorsing it till sometime back.

The company has even given John a high-end SUV from their range of cars. As to why didn’t the company renew Ranbir’s contract? Your guess is as good as ours.
A source close to the brand says that the company's target audience has changed. “The company was targeting the youth and wanted to promote it as a youth machine when Ranbir was the brand ambassador. But now, they want to focus on the section of customers who would want to indulge in the SUV range. John’s macho persona fits the bill perfectly,” he says.
Ranbir, on the other hand, has moved on to a rival car brand as their ambassador. He endorses a car similar to the one he endorsed with the last brand.
