Alia Bhatt took to social media to wish her dad, Mahesh Bhatt on his 70th birthday and also made a special announcement. The actress confirmed being a part of Sadak 2, along with Aditya Roy Kapur, Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt. Alia also posted a small teaser with scenes from original Sadak to announce the film.

celebrate! Not only is it ace filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt’s 70th birthday but
also a very special day for movie buffs and director’s fans. Confused? Don’t
be. Alia Bhatt is an extremely proud and happy daughter and she expressed her
love for dad on social media with an emotional post. Now, this post also made
an announcement of Alia being a part of Sadak 2. And guess who is she paired
with? None other than Bhatts’ favourite, Aditya Roy Kapur. The film also stars
the orginal cast- Pooja Bhatt and and
Sanjay Dutt.
Alia took to her
Instagram stories and posted a group picture of Team Sadak 2. She also posted a
special message for Mahesh Bhatt. The proud daughter wrote, “Dear Daddy, On
your 70th Birthday you have given me the greatest present I could ask and dream
for. You are directing me! Sadak 2 is a dream come true.. What I thought will
never be possible you have made possible. Thank you daddy from the bottom of my
heart, soul and bones.This will be a journey of discovery.. Of life, movies,

Alia Bhatt will be working with her filmmaker dad for the very first time. Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial film Sadak, starring Sanjay Dutt & Pooja Bhatt was a massive hit 17 years ago. And now the filmmaker’s decision to get back to direction with the sequel is surely one of the best gifts for fans. Sadak 2 was announced by Vishesh Films in July 2018 and is all set to release on March 25, 2020.
