Phir Hera Pheri Director Neeraj Vora CRITICALLY ILL

Reports of filmmaker-actor Neeraj Vora’s failing health after suffering a massive brain stroke sent shockwaves in the industry. Neeraj, who has acted in several films such as Rangeela (1995), Mann (1999) and Bol Bachchan (2012) among others and helmed Khiladi 420 (2000) and Phir Hera Pheri (2006), was admitted to a leading Delhi hospital in October last year and has been battling for life since.

However, despite being under expert care, SpotboyE.com can tell you that even after 2 months, Neeraj’s condition has not improved and continues to go downhill.

Says a source, “Neeraj had monetary issues. A number of money-related transactions were made in the past, which caused him a lot of stress. Since then, he was very quiet. Soon after, he suffered a brain stroke.”

Adds the source, “Firoz Nadiadwala (producer of Hera Pheri) visited him in the hospital a couple of times. At the moment, he is clinically stable but not symptomatically. We will have to wait and watch.”

Originally from Gujarat, Neeraj made his foray in Bollywood as a writer for Aamir Khan’s film Rangeela. A few films later, he debuted as a director with Khiladi 420, which failed to work its magic at the box-office. He resumed writing films and worked with Firoz Nadiadwala on Awara Paagal Deewana (2002) and Deewane Huye Paagal (2005). The two then collaborated on Phir Hera Pheri (2006, Neeraj directed it), the sequel to the Hera Pheri (2000), which starred Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty in lead roles.

Neeraj was working on Hera Pheri 3 when tragedy struck.

We wish the filmmaker-actor gets well.
