Another eligible bachelor in B-Town is all set to get
hitched! Prateik Babbar, who came into limelight with the character he played in
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, is all set to get engaged to budding writer Sanya Sagar.
According to a report in Bombay Times, Prateik and Sanya have known each other
for eight long years. The duo has been dating since 2017 and now, they are
getting engaged on January 22, 2018. The engagement ceremony will take place in
Lucknow.
A source close to the actor revealed. “The engagement will be a close-knit
affair. Their families are tight-lipped about it, as Prateik wants to go a
little easy and stay away from the limelight unless it’s work-related. While
they have decided to get engaged in Lucknow, the date is subject to change as
families are yet to finalise a few things.”
Prateik was initially dating Amy Jackson. Post their split, he went under
depression and eventually became a drug addict. However, he resorted to rehabilitation and is now a changed person. In 2016, while talking to a leading daily, Prateik bravely confessed about it, “I didn’t know what to do with myself after I broke up with Amy.
It left a void in my life. I am not so good with heartbreak…I was scared of not
being in a relationship.”
“I let failure get to me, and I was confused whether I
should be an actor. In eight years whatever I had done had not worked, while
other actors were doing well. I stopped listening to scripts as I was very
depressed. I loved the people around me and I loved going on the sets, but I
isolated myself from everything. My fears took over me."
On the work front, the 31-year-old actor is next going to be seen in Tiger
Shroff and Disha Patani starrer, Baaghi 2. He will be playing a negative role
in the film.
