Contrary to rumours that Abhishek Bachchan is not part of Bhansali’s Gustakhiyan, it is Priyanka Chopra who has bowed out of the film
For some time now, speculations have been rife that Abhishek Bachchan will not be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama, Gustakhiyan, which also stars Priyanka Chopra.
However, SpotboyE.com has it that it is not Abhishek but Priyanka who has walked out of the project. Yes, you read that right!
The actress has decided to bow out of the film and has communicated the same to the filmmaker.

Gustakhiyan is said to be based on the real-life romance of literary giants, Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam. While many reports suggested that Bhansali is looking for the ideal actor to play ‘Sahir’ post reports of Abhishek not having said ‘Yes’ to the film began doing the rounds, the ace filmmaker will now have to search for an actress to essay the role of ‘Amrita’.
Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have a long and storied history. The Baywatch beauty and the filmmaker first got together to shoot the much-talked about special number Ram Chahe Leela In Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela in 2013.

Then, Priyanka stole the show with her role as Kashi Bai in the 2015 hit Bajirao Mastani which again starred Bhansali’s favourite pairing, Ranveer and Deepika.
Post the aforementioned collaborations, the actress was all set to reunite with the filmmaker for the third time. This time, she was also co-producing the project. However, evidently, things didn’t turn out as expected.

Priyanka is currently in India and was recently seen at Ambani’s Ganpati celebrations. In the West, the actress is shooting for two Hollywood films simultaneously – A Kid Like Jake and Isn’t It Romantic.
