Tabu Slams The Door On Manish Gupta, Refuses to Play Indrani Mukerjea!

Just an hour back, SpotboyE.com told you that we will be back with more updates on Rahasya 2, based on the Sheena Bora murder case. The film is to be directed by Rahasya director Manish Gupta.
And now we tell you who Manish Gupta offered the role of Indrani Mukerjea to?

Manish who is holding a script close to his chest has striking similarities to the sordid murder case involving Peter Mukerjea-Indrani Mukerjea and their daughter Sheena Bora. The case is still being debated in Court.

So off went Manish Gupta to meet Tabu, who heard him out but not before she had fallen off from her chair! Manish wanted her to play Indrani Mukerjea who has been accused of killing her daughter Sheena and is languishing in jail!!

Tabu said a polite (Read, Big) No to Manish, and then we hear that Vicky Kaushal (who plays Ranbir Kapoor's friend in the Sanjay Dutt biopic) was approached to play Sheena's boyfriend, but he also showed no interest.
So what is Manish left with? Well, he still has quite a big catch. Nawazuddin Siddiqui has agreed to play a cop in the film (it is not yet clear if he is playing Rakesh Maria who was transferred from this case because he was a close friend of the accused media baron Peter Mukerjea who is Indrani's husband, and he too is languishing in jail).

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has made it clear that former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria's personal involvement in the probe of Sheena Bora murder case didn't go down well with the government. Maria's transfer, few weeks before his tenure as the city police chief was to end, raised eyebrows as he was in the middle of the investigation of the high-profile murder case. On September 8, Maria was transferred as Director General, Home guards, to be replaced by Ahmed Javed.
So who plays Peter and Sheena in Rahasya 2, we asked? "That's yet to be decided," says our source.
