Janet Jackson has spent the past few years away from the spotlight after marrying Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Manna. Her last tryst with controversy came more than a decade ago with Nipplegate, but the pregnant star's latest outing has once again grabbed headlines.
The 50-year-old singer stepped out in London with her husband in what looked like a burqa, the black garb favoured by orthodox Muslim women.
Janet has been with Manna, who is 9 years her junior, for a few years now and the couple are famously reclusive. Rumours that Janet has converted to Islam have been around for some time and this sighting has only added fuel to the fire of controversy..
There also have been some who have questioned her health after she announced her pregnancy at the age of 50.
After much speculation, Janet finally confirmed her pregnancy and is allowing her baby bump to be shown to the world after making the announcement in People magazine.
