Sonu Nigam Has Done It! Goes BALD After Being Challenged By Maulavi

After a senior member of a minority council issued a fatwa against Sonu Nigam for his comments over Azaan prayers, the singer finally shaved his head off.

He held a press conference and said, “I didn't speak against any religion... I am not against Azaan, only the use of loudspeakers. I believe in all faiths. This is a social topic, not a religious one," Nigam asserted, before adding, "I have a right to my opinion. Dharam ke naam pe log sharab pee ke naach rahe hote hai. Filmy gaane chala rahe hote hai. Matlab yeh dadagiri nahi hai?"

He also said, “I used to wrap up my shows by 10 and respected the time frame given by the government. I have no problem with Azaan or Aarti, my problem is Loudspeaker.”

He added, "We should address this issue seriously. Our children are also part of this country."

Sonu Nigam went on to say, “I want to say this once again, what Aalim bhai is doing is not some agitation. Don't feature it like that. Don't portray it like a challenge. This is not some challenge. This is to tell you that baal kaatne wala Mussalman hai aur jiske baal katwane ka fatwa diya gaya hai woh Hindu hai. There is no animosity. I'm not cutting my hair against my will. I'm telling my Musalmaan bhai to cut my hair. If we interpret the talk of fatwa with love and if you'll understand what I have said then that is wonderful."

sonu nigam goes fully bald after twitter controversy with islam

His speech was as follows:

"You can’t write an entire essay in a tweet. The portion I wrote that this is gundagradi, you did not mention that one. I said in that tweet that I am equally against temples and gurudwaras waking people up with electronic devices such as loudspeakers especially to people who don’t even follow the religion. I won’t go in front of a Muslim’s house and start singing ‘Hare Ram’. I can’t do that. What means prayer to me doesn’t mean prayer to them. All I wanted to say that we should be considerate to each other."

I am a secular person. Neither am I right wing, nor am I left wing. I stand in the middle. People like me are less. Most are right wing or left wing. Not many stand in the middle. I am standing in middle. I am in minority actually. It’s the problem of the English language. Some people are accusing me of not using Mohammad Sahab, and just Mohammad. I want to tell them that in English we write Shiva and not Shiv Ji. It goes Shiva, Krishna, Rama – it’s not Sri Krishna. In Twitter you have limited space, so Mohammad Sahab can’t be thought of being written. Similarly, in a Musalman’s language, it won’t be Lord Jesus. Similarly in my language, in English, it won’t be Mohammad Sahab. If it's an issue, I fold my hands and say that is was not my intent."
