A couple of weeks back, actress Payal Ghosh accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The actress accused the filmmaker of raping her. Soon after that, Payal moved to the Police station and filed an FIR against the Manmarziyan director. However, Payal is unhappy with Police’s snail speed development about the case. The actress has expressed her disappointment over Police officials over no action against the filmmaker. Recently, president of the Republican Party of India-Union Minister Ramdas Athawale came out in support of the actress.
After holding a press conference, Payal Ghosh will meet Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, today. Taking to Twitter, Payal informed her fans about the same and said their meeting is in regards to discuss details about her case against the filmmaker. Ghosh Tweeted, “I will be meeting the @maha_governor Shri @BSKoshyari tomorrow to discuss the situation and the next steps. Thank you all for the support. Jai Hind.”
During her press conference, Payal said, “I have risked my career to talk about this. It takes courage to speak about such a traumatic experience. Would request everyone to not fear and come out and speak.” While her lawyer, Nitin Satpute told IANS, “Our priority is to get Kashyap arrested, because the offence is non-bailable. We have lodged FIR and we have not received any response from Kashyap. We do not want any response but we want the police to arrest him.”
