The 71-year-old musician breathed his last at Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, following multiple organ failure (Music composer Ravindra Jain dies at 71, October 9). Jain was airlifted to Lilavati on Wednesday, from Nagpur's Wockhardt Hospital where he was admitted earlier in the week after suffering a paralytic stroke.
The music maestro, who composed many Bollywood hits - Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se, Gori Tera Gaon, Le Jayenge Dilwale Dulhaniya and Jab Deep Jale Aana to name a few -- is survived by wife Divya and son Ayushmaan.
The funeral was attended by prominent personalities like Hema Malini, Khayyam, Udit Narayan, Ranjeet and Priya Dutt amongst others.
