After the success of Badlapur where we saw Varun Dhawan excelling in his histrionics, the film's director Sriram Raghvan is all busy setting up the stage for his next, an adaptation of Vikas Swarup's The Accidental Apprentice.
A cinematic version of Sheeja's book Gone With The Bullet is next in line. There has been a strong buzz that Sriram is planning to cast Alia Bhatt and Akshay Kumar in lead roles in this film, which is a story of an 18-year-old girl falling in love with a 40-year-old assassin.
The film, an unusual love story, was originally supposed to be made by Sujoy Ghosh- but that did not materialise. Reportedly, this novel was originally a movie script. A source says, "Sujoy was very keen to make it, but for reasons best known to the two parties- Sheeja and Sujoy- the collaboration did not happen."
SpotboyE.com got in touch with Sriram last evening, and he clearly said that 'none of the above mentioned stars will feature in his film based on Sheeja Jose's book'.
Added Sriram, "We have still to decided on the cast and will update once it is done."
So, that's that!
