Omung Kumar’s PM Narendra Modi biopic has been garnering a lot of attention, ever since the look of Vivek Oberoi as Modi was released. Recently, the trailer was unveiled and again, the movie finds itself grabbing headlines, but for the wrong reason. Last evening, Javed Akhtar took to his Twitter page and expressed his shock and disappointment for finding his name on the poster of the movie. He denied writing any songs for the film.
He tweeted, “Am shocked to find my name on the poster of this film. Have not written any songs for it !” Soon, after lyricist Sameer wrote, “Mujhe hairat hai apana naam pm narendra Modi film me dekh karr , Maine aisi kisi film me koi gaana nahi likha hai ..”
Now, producer, creative director and story writer of the movie, Sandip Ssingh has released an official statement. He says, “T-series being the official music partner of our film. We have taken the songs 'Ishwar Allah' from the film '1947:Earth' and the song 'Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon' from the film 'Dus', thus we have given the due credits to respective lyricists Javed Sahab and Sameer Ji.”
Helmed by Omung Kumar, PM Narendra Modi biopic also stars Suresh Oberoi, Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi and Zarina Wahab among others.
