In March, Vicky Kaushal announced his next Sardar Udham Singh as the makers had revealed the first look of Vicky from the film on social media. Udham Singh will see Vicky Kaushal play the titular role in the biopic of Udham Singh, who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer, former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab of British India to avenge the horrors of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Known to get into the skin of his character, the actor has reportedly lost 13 kgs.
Recently, Vicky Kaushal was spotted at the airport, where he looked lean. Wearing white T-Shirt paired with blue denim and cargo pants the actor was all smiles for the paps. His weight loss looked totally visible in the pictures as was snapped at the airport. The completed his look with white shoes. Earlier calling it a dream come true to do a film with Shoojit Sircar, Kaushal had told a section of media, “It's a surreal feeling because it's like a dream come true as I am finally getting to work with him. I have always been a big admirer of how Shoojit sir looks at his stories. The way he is looking at the character (Udham Singh) and the world is extraordinary as well as beautiful. Plus, it's also a big honour for me that finally, I am going to be directed by him. Honestly, that's something that will take time to sink in.”
For the uninitiated, Sara Ali Khan was earlier offered to play the female lead in the biopic, but she refused to sign on the dotted line. Produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, the biopic is scheduled to release on October 2, 2020.
