It's a very sad day for Bollywood today. Veteran superstar, Vinod Khanna left for his heavenly abode this morning. He was battling with cancer for the longest time. He was 70.

Khanna was recuperating at the Hurkison Das Hospital (Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre) in Girgaon, Mumbai.
Vinod Khanna was hospitalized on April 1. However, his family kept the news under wraps for four days. Then, son Rahul Khanna told a news agency that “severe dehydration” had caused the hospitalization.
This morning, the official statement from hospital confirmed Vinod Khanna's death. It said, "Veteran actor and Member of Parliament Mr. Vinod Khanna, who was admitted to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital breathed his last at 11.20 am due to advanced bladder carcinoma."
