National Award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee is promoting the second season of the web series, The Family Man in full swing. In conversation with Bollywoodhungama when he was asked about South actress and star Samantha Akkineni’s acting prowess, the senior shared being blown away with her level of preparation. The actor on reaching Chennai when witnessed videos of the actress training for martial arts and also filming for a few of the portions stated being nervous. This reaction of the actor got Samantha reacting to it.
While Manoj Bajpayee said, "I was completely nervous. Maine kaha yaar yeh ladki toh pehle se taiyaar hai, mera ek scene bhi nahi hua hai, I really have to pull up my socks and go on the sets with full preparation” Reacting to it Samantha tweeted, “You had to pull up your socks omg @BajpayeeManoj... don’t steal my lines sir.. you are the greatest And I can’t wait to for everyone to see what you have done in #familymanseason2”

This web series marks Samantha’s digital debut, in one of her interactions, she spoke about her experience working with Manoj Bajpayee, she said, “Outside I was calm, but inside I was like I think crying a bit. I was just in shock and thankfully the character also in the scene was supposed to be like a blank. The Family Man 2 also features Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Sharad Kelkar in a pivotal role, it is helmed by Raj and DK. It will be premiered on June 4, 2021, on Amazon Prime Video.
