Anumita Dasgupta’s Bohomaan To Be Screened At Telangana Bengali Film Festival 2019

The film stars Aparna Sen, Soumitra Chatterjee, Bratya Basu, and Arpita Chatterjee in the lead roles. The film is releasing on November 29. The Telangana Bengali Film Festival 2019 will be organised from December 6-8

Anumita Dasgupta’s Bohomaan To Be Screened At Telangana Bengali Film Festival 2019
Anumita Dasgupta’s Bohomaan which is yet to be released will be screened at Telangana Bengali Film Festival 2019. The film festival will start on December 6 and end on December 8. The festival will screen a number of critically acclaimed features and short Films. 

Altogether 11 Bengali films will be screened at the film festival. The film stars Aparna Sen, Soumitra Chatterjee, Bratya Basu and Arpita Chatterjee in the lead roles. 


The trailer gives a hint of the story that revolves around the two separated lovers. Soumitra Chatterjee is playing a Muslim man Salim and Aparna Sen will be seen as a Hindu woman Madhuri. They both were in love with each other during their younger age but they could not marry because of different religions. This separated couple reunites at old age after a gap of almost fifty years and this time they want to give their relationship a second chance.

But once again they have to face opposition and this time from Madhuri’s son Subrata played Bratya Basu. Subrata is not ready to accept this new change in his mother’s life. Arpita Chatterjee is playing Joyeeta, Subrata’s wife who is very much supportive of her mother-in-law’s decision. Other than these four Sohag Sen is also there is a significant role as Madhuri’s friend.

Meanwhile, Rakhi Gulzar, Sohag Sen, Aparna Sen, Anirban Bhattacharya, Tuhina Das, Arindam Sil, Abir Chatterjee, Ritwik Chakraborty, Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha among others will grace the festival.

This year the Festival has been curated keeping in mind 100 years of Bengali Cinema and is celebrating it by screening Bengali films from both epaar and opaar Bangla (West Bengal and Bangladesh) with the sole aim to bring together the Bengali community and connecting with the artistic, social, cultural and the political ethos of the land of their roots.
