First Look Poster Of ‘Shonku O El Dorado’ Out, Film To Release In Winter
The first look of much awaited Shonku O El Dorado has been released. The film was announced in 2017 by noted director Sandip Ray but due to some reasons the film got delayed. The film is on popular character created by Satyajit Ray and it is none other than Professor Shonku, a crazy scientist.

SVF entertainment took to its official Twitter handle and shared the look, “Here's the grand pujo surprise! Presenting the first look poster of Professor #Shonku O El Dorado | Film Releasing This Winter.”


Directed Sandip Ray, son of Satyajit Ray, was planning to make a movie on Professor Shonku for long time but was not getting suitable producers for the venture.  The first film will be based on the story “Nokurbabu O El Dorado”.

Actor Dhritiman Chatterjee will play the lead role as Professor Trilokeshwar Shonku. Actor Shubhashis Mukhopadhyay will play his well wisher Nokurbabu. Apart from them, there will be many foreigner actors as per the demand of the story.  

Dhritiman Chatterjee began his acting career in 1970 as the protagonist of Satyajit Ray's Pratidwandi (The Adversary). Most of his acting work has been in India's "parallel", or independent, cinema with filmmakers such as Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen and Aparna Sen, among others. He has also worked in English films with well-known filmmakers such as Deepa Mehta and Jane Campion. He has received several acting awards in India and has been on the Jury of the Indian National film Awards.
