Maya Kumari: Arindam Sil Next Celebrates 100 Years Of Bengali Cinema, Abir Chatterjee To Star

Arindam Sil is all set to recreate the magic of Bengali cinema on the screen. The film will celebrate 100 years of the cinema. The film titled as Maya Kumari.
The information was confirmed by Pycker. Abir Chatterjee will be in the lead role and will be seen in double role. Maya Kumari revolves around top actress of '40s who suddenly leaves the industry and starts living with her husband away from the city. Rituparna Sengupta will be seen as the female lead. Abir plays a double role as Kanan Kumar, a popular hero of '40s and Kanan's grandson Ahir.
As reported, Maya Kumari will deal with two timelines. It will cover all the legends of Bengali cinema from Uttam Kumar to Prosenjit Chatterjee.
The film also stars Arunima Ghosh, Indrashis Roy and Rajatava Dutt.
Arindam last release Mitin Mashi was also well appreciated as the film deals with women empowerment and also showed Koel Mallick as detective which is not so common in our culture.
