Arindam Sil’s directorial Mitin Mashi is already making headlines because of its different storyline. The film introduces the first female detective to the industry. There is one more interesting part of the film. And that is ace actor Vinay Pathak who is debuting in the Bengali film industry.

Talking about his journey, Vinay Pathak said, “I was in Kolkata for some reason and then I met Arindam over a coffee. He read out the script to me and I liked it. He offered me the role but I said him this is Bangla film dada, how will I do it? But he said he will make it happen. And that’s how it happened.”
Mitin Mashi’s script was very interesting and engrossing that there was no looking back, he added.

The trailer gives us a glimpse of the movie being around kidnapping of a school kid. Later we are introduced with parents of the kid played by Vinay Pathak and June Malya who hire Mitin Mashi for investigating the crime. Koel Mallick is Mitin Masi aka Pragyaparamita Mukherjee who is a homemaker cum detective. Her look and body language is looking very different from most of her mainstream movies. In the trailer we can see her doing action also.
