Rajesh Sharma To Debut As Television Show Host

Rajesh Sharma is a well known face not only in Bangla films, but also Bollywood. The character actor has been lauded for his supporting acts in films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dabangg 3, Mardaani 2, Dream Girl, Super 30 and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Now Rajesh Sharma is all set for a new role, that of a TV show host. The 49 year old actor is going to host Bengal Crime, a television show based on crime stories. Bengal Crime will be telecast on Akash Aath from 17th February. The one-hour show will run three days a week, from Monday to Wednesday, at 9.30 pm.
Rajesh Sharma was initially reluctant to work in television. But given the rising state of crime in West Bengal and the fact that people need to be made aware of facts, the actor agreed to host Bengal Crime.
Bengal Crime has been conceptualised by Ishita Surana, the Director of Akash Aath. On choosing Rajesh Sharma as the host of their new show, Ishita says, “Rajesh Sharma is a very talented actor. We wanted such a personality as our host, who would appeal to a mass audience. His presence will be the main attraction of the show. He will be the voice of protest against all kinds of injustice that has spread across our society.”
Rajesh Sharma is known for his performances in acclaimed Bengali films like Paromitar Ek Din, Shubho Mahurat, Baishe Seabon, Mishawr Rawhoshyo and Kishore Kumar Junior. He has also acted in many commercial Bengali and Hindi films.
