Pradipta Bhattacharyya directed ‘Rajlokkhi O Srikanto’, which stars Ritwick Chakraborty, Jyotika Jyoti in the lead was supposed to release tomorrow, i.e. September 20. But the makers are facing trouble in getting halls for the film to release. The film is releasing on September 27.

We have earlier reported that the filmmakers are trying to get the screens. The national-award winning director had even expressed displeasure over the same and penned down a message on his social media platform.
  
But now Indranil Roy tweeted, “After all the hue and cry since yesterday, a solution has been reached. What I gather, the Director & the Distributor of ‘Rajlokkhi and Shrikanto’ approached the Exhibitors yesterday.  Now, the film will release in Kolkata & elsewhere on 27th October, 2019?”
 


The film is inspired from Sharatchandra Chattopadhyay’s classic novel Srikanto. So far, there have been several adaptations of the novel for both movies and television. The story of the film will be set in today’s time which is almost after 100 years from the time period when the original novel was written. For obvious reasons there will be lots of changes in the situations to fit properly in today’s time. It will be exciting to see how the talented director Pradipta Bhattacharya will present the story with his point of view keeping the psyche of the characters intact.
