Tarikh: Raima Sen, Saswata Chatterjee And Ritwick Chakraborty Starrer To Be Screened At Bangla Cine Utsav 2019
Director Churni Ganguly has all reason to be happy as her film ‘Tarikh’ is on a winning spree. The film which has also won national award of this year has been screened at many film festivals. This time it will be screened at 12th Bangla Cine Utsav 2019.

Opera movies tweeted, “We are extremely excited and honoured to announce that #Tarikh will be screened at the 12th Bangla Cine Utsav 2019, organized by the Bengal Association - New Delhi on 15th September.”


Tarikh is a story of three individuals: Anirban Gupta, a professor, Ira, Anirban's wife, works as a hotel lobby manager, and Rudrangshu (Rudy), Anirban's childhood friend. This was the second film directed by Ganguly after Nirbashito.

As Churni Ganguly said Tarikh shows the bonding, complex relationship and real and impossible aspirations of people and how all these things have an impact on daily lives.

Recently, the film won national award for best dialogue and now it has won Best Narrative Feature At Los Angeles Film Awards 2019.

The news was shared by Ritwick Chakraborty on his official Facebook page. Raima Sen, Saswata Chatterjee and Ritwick Chakraborty were in the lead roles.
