The first poster of Raajhorshee Dey directorial Purbo Poshchim Dokkhin was released earlier today. The still features Rudraprasad Sengupta, Arpita Chatterjee, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Rajesh Sharma, Padmanava Dasgupta, Bidipta Chakroborty and Anyann Bhowmick. 

The filmmakers had earlier released teaser which has received a good response from the audience. “Presenting The first look of @RaajhorsheeDe’s Purbo Poschim Dokkhin Uttor Ashbei,” Gaurav Chakraborty tweeted.


These days Bengali director is either into making detective movies or horror flick. The audiences love such genre movies and Purbo Poshchim Dokkhin also deals with supernatural power.

The film is produced by actress Suchandra Vaaniya who has also acted in the film. Based on Avik Sarkar’s best selling book “Ebong Inquisition”, it will be the first Bengali film to talk about black magic and witch craft.
 
The film has three short stories which is connected through a common narrator who is telling these stories to his co-passenger during a train journey. The teaser introduces two co-passengers during a train journey played by Kamaleshwar Mukherjee and Arpita Chatterjee. Kamaleshwar is telling stories to Arpita. Other than them it gives random glimpses of other key characters also. From the teaser, it looks like cinematographer Ranjan Palit has wonderfully created the required mysterious ambiance to the film. The film will also feature India’s first transgender college principal Manabi Bandopadhyay and renowned theater artist Rudraprasad Sengupta.
