Badla Actress Taapsee Pannu Fires On All Cylinders: Exclusive Interview
Badla, Amitabh Bachchan and Trolls- Taapsee Pannu gets into a candid mood to talk about it all. Sujoy Ghosh joins in
It is always a treat to catch up with talent and Taapsee Pannu is definitely one. This time, we talk about her upcoming film Badla ready to hit theatres on Friday. Director Sujoy Ghosh joins in, oh this man oozes humour. The conversation begins on a surprising note when Taapsee Pannu informs us that she was on board of this Sunil Khetrapal film (Red Chillies hadn't come on board till then) and she called Sujoy to hold the directorial reins. And Sujoy turned her down! It's a very interesting story that how then Sujoy and Bachchan got in, without Taapsee knowing about it!
Taapsee also spoke about how she was far more comfy with Bachchan than in Pink. "It is natural when you work with someone for the second time." Taapsee came up with some very startling information at some point. Said the Mulk star, "I can't do rehearsals. I get spent if I indulge in rehearsing scenes." And of course, we spoke about her fab wit which she so vividly exhibits when she hits back at trolls. WATCH FULL INTERVIEW BELOW.
Sujoy was candid to talk about Kahaani 2 and Te3N having not hit the bull's eye. And of course, he also explained why he was not sure if he should take up Badla or not. "I can't take up a film unless I know what I will bring on the table to execute it in such a way that it meet the bar of high standards." We also asked Sujoy what he felt was the difference between Vidya Balan (he has worked with him in 3 films) and her, the director did not beat around the bush. We also asked him about how SRK came on board, Badla is produced by Khetrapal and Gauri Khan.

Taapsee carried the nerd look she sports in Badla, through the interview. It was clear all along from the moment I met them (at Red Chillies office in Khar) that the two shared a great camaraderie- and when the camaraderie is good between colleagues, the product is always a force to reckon with. No two opinions that Badla looks extremely fab from the trailer. Anyway, let's see what happens on March 8.
