Sonam Kapoor Tagged ‘Anti-National’ For Her Remark On Balakot Air Strike; Has The Best Comeback
The air strike carried out by the Indian Armed Forces on Jaish-e-Mohammad’s terror camps in Balakot, had the country reacting in abundance. Several celebrities from Bollywood and Television fraternities praised the doings of the armed forces, and one amongst them happened to be Sonam Kapoor.

However, the actress was tagged as ‘Anti-National’ for echoing Humans of Hindutva’s Facebook post which stated that the minds of Hindu and Islamic fundamentalists are infiltrated by hatred and both lack empathy for the other side without considering the consequences of a war.

After facing severe backlash, the actress took to her Twitter page to clarify her stance. She wrote, “I stand strongly against any form of terrorism, especially if it's state sponsored. We are a Democratic country and each one has the right to his/her view without encroaching on others people’s beliefs.

All religions in the World have a few fanatics and fundamentalists and our choices differentiate us from our misguided brothers and sisters. I'm completely neutral and I support my India and all the moral values she's always stood for.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonam was last seen in Shelly Chopra Dhar’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga that also starred Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Juhi Chawla. Next, she will be seen in The Zoya Factor that is based on Anuja Chauhan’s best-selling novel The Zoya Factor. Helmed by Abhishek Sharma, The Zoya Factor also features Dulquer Salmaan. The movie will be releasing on April 5 this year.
