After sharing the posters and teaser, here comes the official trailer of RAW- Romeo Akbar Walter. The trailer showcases the story of a braveheart whose sole purpose was to serve for his motherland. Based on true events, RAW tells the tale of the subcontinent's most decisive battle fought.
The opening scene shows Jackie Shroff’s character declaring, “We are on the verge of a war with Pakistan’. The movie revolves against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan war of 1971 and is said to be inspired by true events. Watch the trailer below:
The trailer depicts John take on different avatars as an Indian spy on a deadly mission in Pakistan. Certain scenes remind us of Alia Bhatt’s espionage thriller Raazi. Earlier, spilling the beans on his 8 vivid looks in the movie, John had told a section of the media, “I do have eight different looks in the film. The effort that goes into giving me those looks is immense. It’s time consuming but completely worth the effort. There’s a cast that they create to create to give me the desired get-up. I play everything from an 85-year- old man to a 26-year-old and this is probably the most challenging role of my life. I’ve realised that today’s cinema is about facing challenges. It’s not about showing great disco dance moves in a project. I get good nervous energy when I am prepping for a difficult film and ‘RAW’ is in that space.”
Romeo Akbar Walter is written and directed by Robbie Grewal and produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Dheeraj Wadhwan, Ajay Kapoor, Vanessa Walia, and Gary Grewal. It will release worldwide on April 5, 2019.
