It has been a while when the #MeToo campaign broke out and we had several names from the world of Bollywood being called out, the prominent ones being Sajid Khan and Alok Nath. We had caught up with Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aryan for a long interview at Novotel (Juhu) on Saturday. The time was right to ask Kriti about Luka Chuppi which releases on Friday- and we did. The time was also right to ask her about the fracas that happened in Housefull 4 while the shoot was midway- Sajid and Nana being called out for sexual harassment.
We asked Kriti how were the vibes on the sets when Sajid was the captain of the ship. We asked if the new director Farhad (who came in when Sajid was replaced) had to re-shoot some scenes. We asked her who saved the situation from getting out of hand. And, we asked Kriti her personal views on #MeToo. We asked Kartik too a lot of questions and of course, lots more to Kriti too. It was a very satisfying interview, quite unlike to the umpteen occasions in today's times when actors close up immediately when they are asked the right questions. Luka Chuppi is a rom-com, directed by Laxman Utekar, it movie revolves around a star reporter of a local TV channel. Laxman Utekar earlier worked as a DoP on Irrfan Khan's Hindi Medium. Luka Chuppi will lock horns at the box office with Sushant Singh Rajput- Bhumi Pednekar starrer Sonchiriya.
