Nushrat Bharucha In A Candid Interview On Her Nights Of Anxiety, Relationship Status And Dream Girl- EXCLUSIVE
Ahead of Dream Girl's release, Nushrat Bharucha spoke about the film, and even spilled the beans on her nights of anxiety, her current relationship status and her take on film reviews
Post the success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Nushrat Bharucha has her hands full of some interesting projects. Now, as her film Dream Girl is slated to release in cinema halls, we got talking to the actress about her role in the film and much more. Looking at her desi thumkas in the song Dhagala Lagli Kala, we were keen to know if she is playing a Maharashtrian in the film and pat came the reply, “That was only for the song, and that was only the tadka. So, the song is not part of the film.”
She further adds, “In the film Ayushmann is the Dream Girl and I’m his dream girl. The film is a series of cross connections. So, all these characters cross connect at some point and all of them are in love with the same boy.” Considering how Ayushmann’s voice in the film makes several men fall in love with him over the phone, we asked anybody has fallen in love with Nushrat listening to her voice. Then, she spoke about how people couldn’t visualize her as the leading lady of a film. We asked if she ever faced a low personally due to less film offers to which she admitted about having experienced sleepless nights. "Of course, I went through the phase of not understanding whether I’m going to make it. I think my depression was more of anxiety. I would not be able to sleep at night. I have had sleepless nights for days together. I would keep thinking of what can I do," was her reply.
Next, we asked her about her relationship status and she said that she is single, not by choice though. “I’m just too busy to look for real connections,” she says.
The topic veered towards whether Nushrat reads entertainment news and she stated that if not anything else, she does take time out to read up on film reviews. So, our obvious question was how does she take to criticism if and when a film critic thrashes her performance. With a smile on her face, she gave a lovely answer as she said that everybody is entitled to have an opinion and it’s art, so no two people could possibly hold the same positive opinion about something. With this, the interview came to a close.
