Manoj Bajpayee On Coping With COVID: 'It’s Not Only Painful, It Is Annoying And Bothersome.'-EXCLUSIVE
Just when you thought that things were getting back to normal, the number of COVID-19 positive cases shot up. Amongst the list, a lot of Bollywood celebs too are contracting the deadly virus and coping up with it. Manoj Bajpayee, who has been busy promoting Silence, his latest Zee5 series from home post-testing positive, speaks about his frustrations in an exclusive interview.

Manoj, how are you recovering from the  Covid virus?
My wife and I   are recovering well, thank you. The first few days were very painful and worrisome, Because the symptoms were quite pronounced.

For those out there who would like to know what it feels like?...
It is something I wouldn’t want anyone to go through. It’s not only painful annoying and bothersome. The worst thing is it is unpredictability. You never know what kind of pain awaits you next while you are infected. It’s better to be cautious and protected than to go through what I am going through. Follow the protocol and restrictions as much as possible.

What are your plans after recovery?
At the moment my wife and I are resting at home. We are almost entirely recovered. But  I am packing my luggage for my next schedule in Uttarakhand. I’ve to go back to Uttarakhand and complete the schedule that we had to stop when COVID hit us in March 2020. I am leaving in the next ten days and I’ll be in Uttarakhand for the next two months.

Once that is over?
Once I am back I will finish the shooting that was halted when I contracted Covid.

Your thoughts as you rest at home?
It is frustrating to be sitting at home doing nothing, just when we thought things were getting back to normal. But that’s the way it is. We are mere mortals, We have no idea of the plans the Almighty has for us. We keep unnecessarily making plans down here when the one above has other plans. I want you to know we love you and want you to stay safe and healthy.

Actor Shaheer Sheikh is one of the most renowned and popular stars of the Telly World. The actor who was last seen in Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke gained immense appreciation and love from the fans of the show. Today, Shaheer Sheikh is celebrating his 36th birthday and producer Ekta Kapoor just made a very sweet birthday wish for her ‘jeejajeee’. She took to her Instagram to share a throwback picture that features his wife Ruchikaa Kapoor, and other friends like Ridhi Dogra, Krstyle D’Souza and more.

The same picture was earlier shared by Ekta when Shaheer and Ruchikaa got married. Captioning the lovely snap, Ekta wrote, “Happie bday jeejajeee”. While we did not see a reply from the birthday boy, Krystle dropped a heart emoticon under Ekta’s post. Meanwhile, we also did not see a special post from Ruchikaa dedicated to Shaheer. No matter what, we are sure she must be planning to do something grand. As he turned a year older, Shaheer revealed that he doesn’t ‘really’ celebrate his birthday.

“There have been times when I’ve forgotten my birthday. If I had my way, I would want everyone to forget it. As I come from a humble background, as a kid, I never celebrated my birthday. In the routine of life and trying to make ends meet, my parents would forget our birthdays. Now it is a tradition that my sisters and I, we all, forget each other birthdays (laughs),” reveals the actor to HT.

He also mentioned that he likes to keep his birthday celebration a low-key affair. “Yes, my fans do show their love with messages and gifts, which is really sweet. They do make me special. I try to stay low-key and don’t like to be the centre of attention. It’s weird, I know,” he says to the portal.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, he shared he doesn’t believe in celebrating his birthday and this has been a thing when he was young. He further says the same has been continued even now. Surprisingly he also said that there were times he had forgotten his birthday also. Not just him even his sister tends to forget birthdays, with the actor calling it a tradition.

He said, “There have been times when I’ve forgotten my birthday. If I had my way, I would want everyone to forget it. As I come from a humble background, as a kid, I never celebrated my birthday. In the routine of life and trying to make ends meet, my parents would forget our birthdays. In fact, now it is a tradition that my sisters and I, we all, forget each other birthdays.” He also spoke about his dislike towards cutting cakes, also as his close friends know this thing, they too don’t get in planning surprise cake cutting things now.

Though he feels it's very sweet of his fans to make him feel special on his birthday, the Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi actor prefers to keep it low. “Yes, my fans do show their love with messages and gifts, which is really sweet. The actor continues, “People tell me that I chose the wrong profession as being an actor also means being in the limelight. I agree but I became an actor for the art, to be able to live another life via a character that I essay and I feel I have lived so many lives through all the roles I have played.” ALSO READ: Shaheer Sheikh Heads For An Audition ‘First Time, In A Long Time’; Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke Producer Rajan Shahi Says ‘Waiting To Work With You Again’
