This afternoon, we caught up with Priyanka Chopra's mother Dr Madhu Chopra at her Juhu office. She has just returned only few days back from LA, she had been all along there with Nick and Priyanka after their reception party. Over hot cups of tea, we asked her about Firebrand- the sensitive and hard-hitting film she has released on Netflix today. Mrs Chopra was all praise for her cast, crew and of course the film.

We deviated to whether she has read the reviews or not. We then asked her about her future plans of her company, Purple Pebble Pictures. We asked her when she plans to start a Hindi feature film and if Priyanka will star in it. We asked her how she selected Aruna Raje to direct Firebrand, who did the casting and if Priyanka asked for any changes in certain portions of the film.



Is Dr Madhu satisfied with the graph of Purple Pebble Pictures? Could they have done more in the amount of time they've been around? How much does Priyanka contribute when she's travelling or staying abroad? Interestingly, Mrs Chopra was insistent that they never compromise on production values when they make a regional film/web show; she endorsed our opinion that then it could lose a certain section of audience.

And then of course, we spoke about Priyanka's shaadi, Nick Jonas and the news about her pregnancy that has been doing the rounds. Mrs Chopra did not bat an eyelid and answered everything calmly. She said she is relieved that she got a nice son-in-law. She said that she supported Priyanka in her decision to marry. She said that, all said and done, she misses her daughter terribly; one can definitely understand this especially when the distance is far- which is a yes in this case.

The graceful lady asked if we would like to have more tea before we left. She said Priyanka will soon resume shooting for Sky Is Pink, which implies that the Fashion star will be in Mumbai a few days from now. And yeah, we also asked her if Priyanka is missing Bollywood.
