The first instalment of Happy Bhag Jayegi franchise was loved by many. Now, the makers are coming up with the 2nd, Sonakshi Sinha is uniting with Diana Penty, Jimmy Sheirgill, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and Jassie Gill for Muddassar Aziz’s Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi. We got an opportunity to chat with Sonakshi Sinha, Jassie Gill and Muddassar Aziz. Right from asking them why Happy runs away every time to whom they want to run away with, we even asked them which is that moment they want to run away from and how Chinese speak Hindi in China.
Starting with why Happy runs away always, director Aziz said, “Happy is not only a run-away character. Happiness is that emotion which doesn’t stays for long in our lives if we don’t take care of it. And for me, Happy the characters played by Sonakshi and Diana are representatives of those emotions. And that’s where the title comes from.”

Further, when we asked Sonakshi if she already knew Happy kyu bhag jaati hai and the climax, the actress claimed that she didn’t know how the film ends. Sonakshi said, “I didn’t know the climax. I didn’t take long to say yes to the script. I didn’t have to think much.”
When we asked Jassie how he reacted when he came to know that he’s going to debut opposite Dabbang actress. He said, “Meri favourite actress hai Sonakshi. Mujhe aisa laga tha ki me ek picture kar lunga, lekin yeh nahi pata tha ki pheli wali Sonakshi ke saath hogi. Main lucky feel karta hun ke meri debut film meri favourite actress ke saath hai.”
Talking about the song Chin Chin Chu with Punjabi tadka, Muddassar said, “We had a good reason to do this song in the film, because I am sure you must have heard the lyrics of the original, and when you are paying tribute to such an iconic song you feel responsible because it has already made its name.”
When asked about which is that one thing they always want to run away from, the three of them had a similar answer. Further asking about who they want to run away with, the lead actors had interesting names to take. Get all these answers from the interview above.
