Veere Di Wedding Actor Sumeet Vyas Talks About Tripling 2, Wife Ekta Kaul And Family Planning
In an exclusive interview with SpotboyE.com, Veere Di Wedding actor Sumeet Vyas talks about his upcoming web show Tripling 2, his forthcoming film Made In China, wife Ekta Kaul and plans of starting a family
Sumeet Vyas, who was last seen romancing Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film Veere Di Wedding, is gearing up for the launch of his web show Tripling 2 co-starring Maanvi Gagroo and Amol Parashar. We got in touch with the actor where he spoke about his upcoming web show, his married life and family planning.
Talking about his character in Tripling 2, the Veere Di Wedding actor said, “The character roughly remains the same. There’s definitely a change in his life, his attitude towards the life changes. He has moved ahead, he has written a book called Tripling, as you may have seen in the promo--- and that book has caused some problems. And then, things get largely blown out of proportion and they embark on a new road trip. That's the premise this time."

Talking about being the co-writer for the show, Sumeet said, “It was hard because the first season did very well, and we didn’t want to disappoint the people, who have liked the show. At the same time, we also didn’t want to just cash in into the popularity of the first one and not really work hard and tell them a new story. Even if somebody would just watch the 2nd season, they should be able to enjoy the show. We also didn’t want to steal from the hit moments of the first part and ride on that. We wanted to create absolutely new moments that people will remember. So, we almost took a year to write this thing. We kept writing and discussing new things. Unless and until the writing does not come from gut, it’s not fun.”
Apart from Tripling 2, Sumeet Vyas will also be seen in Ghost Stories, Made In China and Verdict. Further, we asked him how different is his equation with his real and reel life siblings. He said, “Real aur reel life mein kaafi difference hai. My real sister is also a theatre artiste and she keeps travelling. At times, mahine mahine tak hum log nahi mil paate hai aur phone pe bhi baat nahi ho paati hai. It’s not that I don’t love her enough, it’s just that we don’t find time but when we genuinely need each other we are always there for each other. My equation with Maanvi in the show is roughly the same.”
Towards the end of our conversation, we asked him, after Kareena, which actress he’s going to romance next. The actor said, “Abhi toh shaadi ho gayi hai, abhi kaise karun romance. Aaj kal toh biwi ko hi romance karta hun.” We quickly added if he could tell us about his plans of starting a family. Pat came the reply, “Life is going very good. We have just shifted to a new place, toh ghar pe palang aa jayega abhi ke liye toh woh plan hai. Hopefully aage kuch toh hoga."
