First Day First Show: Vidya Balan's Kahaani 2 Is Off To An Impressive Start

Vidya Balan recent slate of films did not make a mark at the box-office, but that doesn't mean you can write her off. She is back with another suspense thriller, Kahaani 2. This Sujoy Ghosh directorial is the sequel to Kahaani, which helped Vidya grab all the Best Actress trophies of 2011.
Kahaani 2 saw audiences thronging the theatres for the first show on Friday. Audiences unanimously loved Vidya's performance. People were all praise for Arjun Rampal too, whose last film Rock On 2 bit the dust. However, there were people who mentioned that they deeply missed Nawazuddin Siddiqui in this film.
Above all, audiences talked about the fantastic screenplay and direction by Sujoy Ghosh. Many opined that the first half was more gripping and suspense-laden than the first installment of the franchise. Although talking about comparisons, people picked the first film without batting an eye lid.
With such a fantastic response from the audiences, Kahaani 2 is definitely going to have a great opening day collection. Whether it continues the glorious run at box office or not, will only be known in the days to follow.
