2.0, Box-Office Collection, Day 3: The Sea Is Not Yet Calm For This Rajinikanth Ship
When it’s a Rajinikanth movie, you do expect fireworks of another level, right?! But, that doesn’t seem to be the case for his latest release, 2.0. The movie which has Rajinikanth reprising his character of a robot and Akshay Kumar as the menacing antagonist, is doing an average business at the box office.

Going by the Hindi figures, the movie did a business of Rs 20.25 crore on first day, followed by Rs 18 crore on second day and Rs 25 crore on day three. While, any normal onlooker would assume the figures to be great, for a movie mounted on a budget of Rs 550 crore, the collections are not up to the mark.

For a movie with such a huge budget, the numbers should have been humongous. But, that didn’t happen. A lot of negativity has flown in from the South, mainly from Tamil film industry.

Even the word-of-mouth isn’t good enough and Twitter is divided in two parts- the Rajini fans are thrashing the media which is saying the truth while on the other hand, the media which has praised the film is being trolled by the people who have been disappointed by the film. For a movie with two biggies, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, the business should have been much higher.
