Azhar maintains a steady rate at the box-office, Decision Pending
The biopic on the former skipper garnered Rs 20.8 crore over the opening weekend
After its opening of Rs 6.3 crore on Friday, Emraan Hashmi’s Azhar did not show much growth over the weekend but maintained a steady rate. The Tony D’Souza-directed film saw Rs 7 crore coming in on Saturday and Rs 7.5 crore on Sunday, thus rounding up the weekend collections at Rs 20.8 crore.
Azhar has come at an important juncture in Emraan’s career. The actor has had eight back-to-back flops and it remains to be seen whether Azhar becomes that much-needed shot in the arm.
