PVR and several
multiplexes did not release the film despite it being a solo release. They were
confident that it will hit rock bottom, and didn't want it especially after the
two back-to-back cold turkeys Thugs Of Hindostan and Mollah Assi they had been
hit by. And they have not been proved wrong. Bhaiji Superhit, made at
approximately 35 crore, is fast going down in archives as a superflop.
Blame it on the terrible story, screenplay and music, there is no lifeline left for this one to swim over to the bank. Garnering only 1 crore on Day 1, this 139 minutes of unbearable headache and nausea should not have seen the light of day but producers Mahendra and Chirag Dhariwal still had some excitement left in them about it after it lay in a dabba for a long time. However, Ameesha Patel and Sumny Deol certainly had none left and perhaps that's why they were inconspicuous by their absence at the PVR Icon Special Screening on Thursday which they were supposed to be present at. Journalists hsd been informed about the presence of the cast and crew--- but even Preity Zinta did not turn up, however some say that she had already flown out abroad.
Ameesha Patel And Sunny Deol
Can't blame this lovable trio who has entertained us in several films and never shunned them. Ameesha Patel chose to keep a dignified silence on the Friday disaster, her manager did not get back to our query. Poor lady had been kept out of a recent poster too! You are strongly advised to carry antiemetics and painkillers if you are destined to see this'epic'.
