Bareilly Ki Barfi started with a low number on Day 1 but good reviews, from both the public and film critics, have given the film a boost at the box-office.

The movie collected Rs 3.85 crore on Day 2, taking the total to Rs 6.27 crore.

Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#BareillyKiBarfi witnessed ample growth on Sat... Sun should be much better... Fri 2.42 cr, Sat 3.85 cr. Total: ₹ 6.27 cr. India biz."

Bareilly Ki Barfi sees Kriti Sanon play, Bitti. She is a rebellious small-town girl who lives her life to the fullest.

Bitti falls for the author of a novel titled Bareilly Ki Barfi, without even meeting him. She sets off on a chase to find the author (played by Rajkummar Rao) which is when she comes across Ayushmann Khurrana, who promises to help her. Little does she know that Ayushmann is the ghost writer of the book. And then the drama begins.

The film’s music has been well received and the tracks Sweety Tera Drama and Twist Kamariya have become hits.

The Mishras, Bitti’s chalk-and-cheese parents played by Pankaj Tripathi and Seema Pahwa, received praise from the critics.
