BUMMER: Harshvardhan’s Debut Film Mirzya Drops On Day 2
Day 1 began on a shockingly low note, but the 2nd day was even worse. It’s unlikely that the film will be able to recover its budget of a whopping Rs 40 crore
Yesterday we told you that Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher starrer Mirzya got off to a dismal start at the box-office (SHOCKING: Anil Kapoor’s Son Harshvardhan’s Debut Film’s Unbelievable Low Start, Oct 8). However, the makers were hopeful that the word-of-mouth buzz might help lift the collections of the film. But, it’s bad news for the team of Mirzya as the film has failed to pick up. While it pocketed Rs 2.20 crore on Friday (Day 1), the collections dropped to Rs 2.10 crore yesterday (Day 2).
Says a source, “Most people have failed to understand the non-linear narrative of the film. The songs only added to the misery. It’s unlikely that the film will be able to recover its budget of a whopping Rs 40 crore. The makers of Mirzya need a miracle.”
