A big thank you to Raj Mehta’s Good Newwz as the flick has literally lived up to its title. Opening on a double digit of Rs. 17.56 crore, it shows growth on day 2 at the ticket window. Dealing with sensitive topic of the couple wanting to experience parenthood and educating the audience about IVF procedure, the filmmaker just struck a perfect balance without going overboard with any aspect. On Day 2 this multi-starrer has minted Rs. 21.78 crore.
Now the film stands on a box figure of Rs. 39.34 crore. Looking at the graph and film picking with positive word-of-mouth, it won’t be far enough for the movie to touch the 50 crore mark in its first few days. In other words we can the movie has successfully passed it litmus test. Trade analyst and movie critics Taran Adarsh clapping for its outstanding performance in North circuit, gave out the day 2 collection on his Instagram handle.
