PM Narendra Modi Biopic, India’s Most Wanted Box-Office Collection, Day 2: Not A Great Saturday For Vivek Oberoi And Arjun Kapoor
This Friday, two movies on socially relevant issues released in theatres. Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Narendra Modi biopic witnessed a clash from Arjun Kapoor’s terror drama India’s Most Wanted. None of the movies managed a good start at the box-office. Now, the second day numbers are here.

Vivek Oberoi starrer minted Rs 3 crore, taking its 2-day total to Rs 5.88 crore, according to Box Office India. On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor film did business of Rs 3.03 crore on the second day, which makes its 2 day collection to Rs 5.13 crore. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#IndiasMostWanted witnessed 44.29% growth on Day 2, but, ideally, the biz should’ve doubled since Day 1 was extremely low... Needs to cover lost ground on Day 3 [today]... Fri 2.10 cr, Sat 3.03 cr. Total: ₹ 5.13 cr. India biz. #IMW”

Meanwhile, both the films garnered mixed response from critics. SpotboyE.com Editor Vickey Lalwani rated India’s Most Wanted 3 stars and wrote, “India's Most Wanted is packed with dialogues, good performances and slick direction. What more do you want? Two hours and a few more minutes literally fly away--- and you continuously root for Arjun Kapoor who has taken up the cudgels to do what he thinks is right against the wish of his seniors when he finds them taking no initiatives and blind to reason. And succeed he does in his journey which eventually pleases not just his boss but the viewers too. This Rajkummar Gupta film starts off slightly hotchpotch but soon tightens to move on one track. The second half is extremely racy and edgy. The climax drives you to the edge and the exchange of phone calls between Arjun and his bosses leave a wide grin. You can make out that this is the same man who made Aamir and No One Killed Jessica, while I still maintain that his Raid could have been better and he quite lost his way in Ghanchakkar.”
